An appearance of the heart on the frontal chest radiograph of a child with decreased pulmonary vasculature, in which the left cardiac border resembles the outline of a wooden boot. The upturned cardiac apex is ascribed to right ventricular hypertrophy. Associated with tetralogy of Fallot.
