[LIRADS] Rim of relatively pure fibrous tissue (composed predominantly of collagen) around a tumor capsule is distinct from the mixed fibrous tissue. (containing bile ducts, blood vessels, and inflammatory cells in addition to collagen) around background cirrhotic nodules. Tumor capsule manifests at imaging as rim of increasing enhancement in the portal venous phase or delayed phase around a mass, without or with corresponding hypo-attenuation at unenhanced CT or signal alteration at T1w, T2w, or DW MRI.
