0012886 Hemorrhagic ovarian cyst

comment

The clinical signs and symptoms of hemorrhagic ovarian cyst (HOC) are variable and include such patients as asymptomatic cases or patients showing symptoms of acute abdomen. HOC is detected as pelvic masses by ultrasonography, but it is often misdiagnosed with other organic masses because of its variable clinical and sonographic findings, and in some cases may lead to laparotomy.
