A behavioral anomaly characterized by reduced mental and motor activity. Psychomotor retardation is a compound anomaly of behavior characterized by abnormalities of speech (Increased pauses, decreased volume, reduced articulation, reduced tone and infection, delayed response), eye movent (fized ganze and poor eye contact), gross movement (Decreased and/or slowed movement of hands, legs, torso, head), slumped posture, flat facial expression, and increased self-touching.
